Heartache 101 ~Sour into Sweet~

Assuming the role of a male high school student in Japan, the player will meet, interact with, and date a number of female characters with the goal of winding up with one of them at the end of a 101-day calendar. Yeah, you’ve seen this all before…or have you?

In other romance sims, there’s little reason to replay the game again once you’ve pursued all the characters you’re interested in. But Heartache 101 allows for a variable female cast. The number of characters in the game is completely open-ended!

You can create new characters and add them to the game, share them with other users, and add characters created by other users. You can create the images for custom characters from a template, or use images you created yourself, or images from any source. (only “standing” images of characters can be imported; there is no event CG in the game) A simple scripting language is provided for writing story events. You can also customize some of the music.

The game system itself is in part a visual novel interface with gameplay that include conversational decision-making, board game-like mechanics, stat management, financial management, and more.

Instinct is a hybrid of action, rpg, adventure and exploration which is probably the most important element in the game.
The game borrows fight system from Knights of Dillaria but dumps the RPG elements like Experience points or equipment(that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to make your character stronger) which means that you must rely on your tactics more than on your equipment.

Your character has 3 upgradeable stats:
1.Health points:You can expand you health capacity by finding a HP Capsule which add 50 points to your HP
2.Ammunition:All weapons in the game use one kind of ammunition but each weapon consumes different number of units.By finding Ammo capsule you expand you ammo capacity by 50 units.
3.Weapons:In KOD you could have only 1 weapon equipped. Here you have all weapons you found equipped.But here’s the catch. All weapons (except Shock Rifle) use ammunition so you must think up a tactics so you won’t consume ammo quickly

The game features one big open ended world for you to explore. You can save the game on the save points.
Exploration is a key element here because some weapons grant you access to new parts of the game world.Also you can’t buy the weapons somewhere,they are scattered around the world so you must find them. Also the game has a quite scary atmosphere thanks to the soundtrack and the fact that you are alone 2 miles underground.

A very enjoyable RPG, good for at least 2 hours gameplay.

The Witch and The Warrior

Life’s not always a fairytale when you are a witch, especially in a world that is still coming to peace with it’s past. An uncomfortable truce is only just forming between the magic and non-magic folk after years of war. At the head of the peace efforts is Queen Clarise, determined that all can come to appreciate each other and work as one. The message is getting through in some places, but slowly – and to Ember, a teenage witch on the island of Vester, every day is a struggle to deal with the insults and prejudice that come with just being her.


Ember dreams of leaving her little island and going to Marnethia – a college town founded by the Queen and dedicated to the specialist education of all young people in magic and fighting or whatever their skill may be. A place where she could mix with so many types of people and learn new skills along the way.

Places at Marnethia don’t come cheap though and Ember’s family struggle to get by so can there really be any hope?

Join in the tale of this young witch as she makes choices that are both good and bad, selfish and not as she discovers a whole new side to the world she grew up on. With friends to meet and many adventures to be had, an unlikely friendship is about to become of huge importance.

Kane’s Plight

In Kane’s Plight you are Solaris Kane, and your “main quest” if you must have one, is simply to explore. There are a total of 4 towns and many quests in each. Nearly all quests can be completed in a good or evil way, and certain special quests will continue later depending on your previous actions. Since there are no battles whatsoever in this game, it’s all about the dialog, text, and crazy (but logical for the most part) quest scenarios.

There are a total of 4 skills in the game, as well as your good and evil stats.
Survivability: Determines how you fare in dangerous situations.
Mechanics: Lets you manipulate mechanical things.
Beast Language: Lets you talk to animals!
Climbing: Still not sure what this does… Oh yea, that’s right! It lets you climb!
Using these 4 skills you will be able to complete quests, complete them in different ways, and access new areas.
